About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take an active role in managing campaigns—stepping in where automation falls short and guiding platform algorithms with clear guardrails.
- Execute daily optimizations using a Stop / Scale / Start mindset to improve performance and drive better results.
- Build and run structured tests across creative and audience segments to understand what truly resonates and drives action.
- Work deeply in the data—exporting, analyzing, and connecting platform data with CRM sources (e.g., Salesforce, Fuse) to understand real performance.
- Use Excel to build models that uncover key metrics like donor retention, pLTV, and overall funnel health.
- Monitor budgets closely to ensure efficient spend and avoid waste, while still hitting growth targets.
- Look beyond surface-level metrics to identify what’s actually driving meaningful outcomes (not just cheap conversions).
- Investigate performance changes, identify root causes, and clearly explain what’s happening and why.
- Partner closely with the Strategist by providing clear, concise insights that help guide decisions and client communication.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A strong analytical mindset and a natural comfort working in data—you genuinely enjoy digging into numbers to find answers.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested formulas, and working with large, messy datasets.
- A healthy skepticism—you question results that seem too good and take the time to understand what’s really happening.
- A high level of attention to detail, with a habit of double-checking your work and catching small errors before they become big ones.
- A builder’s mindset—you enjoy getting hands-on in the data and solving complex problems more than presenting or talking about them.
- Curiosity and persistence—you’re motivated to keep digging until something truly makes sense.
