About the role

  • Lead the project team to conduct Pillar 2 advisory and compliance; Cross-border tax advisory; Tax Due Diligence either via VDR or at Target’s site, while ensure effective co-ordination with multi-workstreams (i.e. other Deloitte office, FDD, LDD teams, etc.) and regularly update of engagement status.
  • Actively equip relevant tax knowledge to identify tax risk and provide practical solutions in each engagement.
  • Confidently communicates/presents analysis, findings and recommendations to managers as well as clients, in verbal or writing.
  • Conduct research and analysis on tax related to cross-border transaction, restructuring plan or investment structure provided by clients.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and partners to advise on tax risk mitigation, optimization opportunities or proposing alternative scheme to achieve that goal set.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables, including business development related materials.
  • Develop and maintain distinct relationships with appropriate contact points from clients.
  • Support manager in charge to manage engagement risks and protect firm brand.
  • Participate in developing training materials and delivering training courses under the plan of respective service line.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in tax consulting.
  • Fair understanding of Accounting principle and strong expertise in Tax, while practical experience in Pillar 2 or cross-border transaction and M&A is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English;
  • Fluent in MS office (e.g. Excel, Power point).
  • Good at power BI is an advantage.
  • Critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and professional environment.
  • Willingness to learn and be developed in leadership skills.
