About the role

  • Map, plan, and implement enhancements and new requests related to data and Machine Learning;
  • Develop end-to-end data science solutions, from data exploration and preparation to model training and evaluation;
  • Conduct technical and business discovery to understand problems and propose data-driven solutions;
  • Structure, clean, and sanitize data for analysis and model training;
  • Develop data pipelines and ETLs using Python and SQL;
  • Build and evaluate Machine Learning models applied to search, ranking, and recommendation;
  • Work with embeddings and data representation techniques;
  • Perform rigorous quantitative analyses and communicate results clearly;
  • Document experiments, hypotheses, models, and results;
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams on the evolution of the search platform;
  • Independently develop solution prototypes and experiments.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Python and SQL;
  • Experience with Pandas (Python data analysis library);
  • Experience in data analysis and numerical modeling;
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning applied to ranking, recommendation, or classification;
  • Experience structuring, sanitizing, and preparing data;
  • Experience training and evaluating Machine Learning models;
  • Familiarity with embeddings and vector representations of data;
  • Experience building ETLs and data pipelines;
  • Ability to carry out end-to-end quantitative analyses, from problem definition to presentation of results;
  • Strong communication skills to explain insights to people with varying technical backgrounds;
  • Collaborative profile with good communication and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
