About the role
- Oversees all aspects of maintenance for the Manteca bottling operations
- Leads a team that provides 24/7 coverage, ensuring equipment and infrastructure are well maintained
- Champions continuous improvement initiatives, providing strong organizational leadership
- Manages and monitors day-to-day operations and team performance to ensure smooth workflows
- Develops and aligns individual goals with the department's operational goals
- Researches best practices, stays abreast of industry trends, and maintains compliance
- Assists in preparing the departmental budget and monitors spending
- Partners with immediate manager to determine staffing needs
- Provides employees with a safe, healthy, and rewarding work environment
- Communicates and supports change initiatives and decisions effectively
- Champions clear communication among teams for unified direction
- Maintains high standard of housekeeping utilizing the 5S Tool’s tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, food science or related field
- 5+ years in bottling or high-speed packaging
- Requires in-depth experience in a high paced Lean production environment
- 3+ years direct leadership and management in food/beverage manufacturing
- Project management experience
- Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment (Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook, AutoCAD)
- Phone, cell phone, forklift and bottling equipment knowledge
- Understands process controllers, industrial electric requirements, mechanical repair, and fabrication
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and production equipment controls.
