About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the company's month-end inventory costing update process and provide guidance to the Staff Cost Accountant.
  • Perform monthly inventory costing activities, including standard cost updates.
  • Analyze inventory transactions and allocate production costs, freight, duties, FOB charges, and other landed costs.
  • Review purchase orders and compare actual landed costs against expected costs.
  • Maintain and update standard costs within the company's ERP system.
  • Analyze cost variances, identify root causes, and collaborate with sourcing, production, and operations teams to resolve issues.
  • Support month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Perform inventory reconciliations and valuation analysis.
  • Review domestic production costing and conduct monthly cost analyses.
  • Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve costing accuracy and reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Recommend process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and introduce cost accounting best practices.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and financial analysis as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of Cost Accounting experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Consumer Goods (CPG), Apparel, Retail, Distribution, eCommerce, or other inventory-based industries.
  • Experience supporting complex inventory environments with multiple manufacturing locations is highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within U.S. operating hours.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Advanced Formulas, Data Analysis).
  • Experience working with enterprise-level ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of: Standard Costing, Inventory Valuation, Cost Variance Analysis, Landed Cost Accounting (FOB, Freight, Duties, Agent Fees).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and produce meaningful financial insights.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software/knowledge including ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
