About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Process Safety Specialist provides technical services and guidance to support Process Safety improvement activities globally (with a focus on North America).
Responsible for proposing practical risk-reducing tactics and assisting clients in the interpretation and application of technical information.
Primarily responsible for providing a variety of process safety assessments, reviews, or evaluations for equipment, processes, or procedures at a client’s facility or remotely.
Perform on team projects and independently on projects or tasks.
Develop technical reports as required.
Perform technical reviews for peers which could include marketing papers, presentations, reports, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS (or Higher) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection) or other safety-related field
EIT or Safety-related designation preferred (CSP, CFEI, CCPSC, PE, etc.)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of process safety
Experience with Combustible Dust, Flammable, and/or other Hazardous Materials is preferred
Experience and strong knowledge in safety-related areas (PSM, RMP, combustible dust, chemical reaction hazards, flammable liquids/gases, etc.)
Strong knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (NFPA, Building & Fire Codes, OSHA, etc.)
Strong personal communications and leadership skills
Must be able to work well under pressure within a team environment
Must deliver reports and analysis documents within time-driven deadlines
