About the role
- Identify and prospect potential new prospects and clients through deep account/contact research, outbound calls, emails, social media outreach, and in-person events
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings for the sales team with key decision-makers to progress opportunities
- Leverage sales tools and technology (Outreach, Salesforce, DemandBase, Sales Navigator) to optimize outreach processes
- Develop a deep understanding of Degreed's platform and how it addresses corporate learning and development needs
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless handoff of leads
- Partner with Sales Directors to develop account planning and outreach strategies and multi-thread opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and lead progress in the CRM system
- Aid in execution and communication of events (in-person and virtual) to drive attendance and pipeline generation
- Engage with business leaders, understand their challenges, and position Degreed as a solution to meet their strategic goals
Requirements
- 1+ years of outbound SDR experience with a strong foundation in sales methodologies and value-based selling
- Skilled at identifying and reaching out to potential clients through cold calling, email, social media, and other methods
- Ability to qualify leads against target profiles and schedule meetings with key decision-makers
- Strategic and analytical: ability to think strategically, track key metrics, and use data to optimize outreach
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and other teams
- Quick to learn and apply new tools, processes, and strategies in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication and active listening skills
- Experience using CRM systems to manage leads, track interactions, and measure outcomes (Salesforce)
- Experience with Outreach, DemandBase, and Sales Navigator
- Strong time management, organization, resilience, and persistence
- Research skills to analyze companies, industries, and decision-makers
- Goal-oriented and driven to meet and exceed lead generation and sales targets
- Product knowledge: solid understanding of Degreed’s platform and ability to articulate its value to prospects
