About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with customers to understand business objectives and identify cybersecurity challenges
  • Deliver meaningful security outcomes and help customers strengthen cyber resilience
  • Build trusted customer relationships and provide expert cybersecurity guidance
  • Conduct security assessments and develop practical, risk-based treatment plans
  • Support cybersecurity governance, risk management, strategic planning, and security transformation programmes
  • Develop security roadmaps and improvement programmes
  • Own successful delivery and reporting of customer engagements against agreed Statements of Work
  • Research emerging cybersecurity tools, technologies, methodologies, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, delivery teams, partners, and customer stakeholders
  • Mentor colleagues, conduct peer reviews, and develop consulting-team capability
  • Identify opportunities to support customers through DEFEND products, services, and cybersecurity practices
  • Partner with leadership and sales teams to progress customer-value opportunities
  • Continuously develop expertise and contribute internal and external thought leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years' experience in a security consulting and/or operational security role
  • CISSP, CISM, or an equivalent certification
  • Experience working with technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of information security, risk management, governance, and security architecture principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted customer relationships
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to support and mentor others
  • Desirable: SABSA Foundation Practitioner
  • Desirable: ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
  • Desirable: ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
  • Desirable: CRISC
  • Desirable: CEH
  • Desirable: Microsoft security certifications
  • Desirable: PCI-related experience and certifications
