About the role
- Lead and contribute to high-priority design initiatives from discovery through delivery while mentoring designers
- Set a clear, compelling vision for design and user experience across products and guide teams through critique, collaboration, and craft
- Work directly with Product, Engineering, and Research leaders to shape strategy and roadmap decisions
- Hire, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing design team and foster a culture of feedback, rapid iteration, and continuous learning
- Elevate design quality and consistency through thoughtful systems, documentation, and process improvements
- Represent the voice of design at the leadership level, advocating for user needs and design impact
- Do hands-on design and prototyping for complex, high-impact initiatives
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product design
- At least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity
- Experience creating impact with user growth and engagement type work
- Comfort talking to users, analyzing data, and studying successful products
- Demonstrated success in mentoring designers and scaling teams without losing design quality or velocity
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered product thinking, interaction design, and visual polish
- Experience in fast-paced, growth-stage environments
- Ability to think in systems and flows, balance short-term delivery with long-term vision
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Enjoy balancing ambiguity and autonomy with structure and clarity for team
- It would be a plus: experience solving for B2B and consumer audiences, experience designing for developers, balancing self-service and enterprise customer needs
