About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the leading legal adviser to the CEO, leadership team and Board on strategic decisions, legal risk and business priorities
Lead and develop the legal function, mentoring a multidisciplinary team
Own the company's commercial legal work across customer, supplier, technology, procurement and strategic partnership agreements
Support complex commercial negotiations and balance legal risk with practical business solutions
Partner with commercial, operations, product, finance and technology teams on day-to-day legal matters
Improve legal operations through contract templates, playbooks and internal processes
Drive thoughtful adoption of AI and legal technology to streamline legal workflows
Oversee corporate governance, entity management, Board matters and shareholder-related activities across multiple jurisdictions
Support acquisitions, investments, partnerships and other corporate transactions
Advise on regulatory and compliance matters across Europe

Requirements

What you’ll need

German-qualified lawyer (Volljurist)
Around 10+ years' PQE gained in a combination of private practice and in-house
Strong commercial legal experience
Significant experience supporting sales, procurement, technology or strategic partnerships
Proven track record in the logistics, transportation or mobility sector
Previous experience leading or mentoring legal teams
Comfortable operating at strategic and operational levels
Experience building legal processes, improving legal operations or leveraging technology is highly valued
Fluent in both German and English
