Legal Counsel – Construction, Commercial

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including documentation, amendments and performance tracking
- Support the management of commercial agreements such as leases and software contracts
- Work closely with People teams to ensure employment law compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Act as a point of contact for external counsel and coordinate legal advice
- Prepare clear, concise contract and risk reports for senior management
- Collaborate with project and finance teams to ensure smooth contract execution
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to construction and infrastructure projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (Volljurist:in)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in construction, infrastructure or project-based environments
- Strong knowledge of international contract frameworks such as FIDIC
- Familiarity with German standard forms (VOB/B, BGB) is advantageous
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong negotiation skills with a clear, pragmatic communication style
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
