About the role
- Player-coach: manage a team of Payroll Specialists while actively supporting payroll execution across multiple customers and entities
- Process payroll for assigned customers and provide guidance as a subject matter expert
- Lead a team to ensure timely and compliant payroll delivery
- Implement and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and controls
- Analyze payroll data to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements
- Deliver training and communication to internal teams to ensure understanding of payroll processes
- Manage relationships with payroll vendors and tax authorities to ensure timely filings and payments
- Drive process improvements and maintain vendor and stakeholder relationships as payroll compliance SME
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience processing payroll for multiple entities
- Strong working knowledge of local payroll and HR regulations
- Experience with local payroll systems and vendor management
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working cross functionally
- People management experience (bonus)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Legal authorization to work in the country you live in (may require visa sponsorship disclosure)
- Willingness to work longer hours during busy payroll periods
- Experience managing or processing end-to-end payroll for Benelux countries (asked in specialised questions)
