About the role
- Overseeing successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for clients.
- Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and proper system configuration.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to guide clients through setup and migration, offering support and training.
- Organize and run kick off meetings; create, maintain and manage project plans for roll-out.
- Support project review calls; coordinate and deliver on project streams; manage scope changes.
- Define and set-up client payroll processes; establish payroll and data requirements; manage payroll calendars.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, status reports, and process docs.
- Define, agree and configure interfaces, reports and system configurations for parallel and live payroll.
- Work with client for go-live transition, sign-off and documentation; generate reports to audit and reconcile payroll data.
- Map GL reports if required.
- Act as point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client.
- Set priorities autonomously; report status to senior leadership and escalate issues appropriately; schedule and attend weekly client calls.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of global payroll system ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Gather key requirements from clients; guide them through technical payroll aspects of onboarding.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and stakeholders to gather payroll requirements.
- Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws; keep up-to-date with changes.
- Oversee migration of payroll data from legacy systems ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plan to identify and resolve system issues.
- Implement change management strategies for employees and HR teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across your designated location.
- Experience with payroll systems and software.
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
