About the role
- Provide legal support to internal departments with strong focus on Belgian employment law matters
- Review, draft, and update employment contracts, policies, and employee handbooks to ensure local compliance
- Conduct compliance assessments related to employment practices, benefits, working conditions, and labor obligations
- Provide end-to-end legal advice on employment terminations, including risk assessment and documentation
- Assist with internal investigations and advise on disciplinary procedures, workplace disputes, and claims
- Monitor changes in labor and employment legislation and advise stakeholders on impacts
- Coordinate multi-jurisdictional employment matters with in-house and external counsel
- Draft and negotiate agreements involving employment-related provisions or contractor relationships
- Prepare and maintain templates, guides, playbooks, and internal documentation related to employment law
- Provide legal advice to internal teams and customers, balancing legal risk with business needs
- Support cross-functional projects involving workforce structure, international employment strategies, or policy rollout
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience (in-house experience is not essential) with a strong background in Belgian employment law matters
- Proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English and French
