About the role

  • Drive growth for Astute Payroll through inbound and outbound prospecting, generating opportunities with net-new accounts through targeted outreach
  • Build relationships with multiple contacts across various levels within target customers in the staffing and temporary recruitment industry in the UK
  • Collaborate with the broader sales and leadership team and learn from experienced sales team members
  • Conduct market research to identify new potential customers and leads and qualify leads by understanding their current technology stack and future projects
  • Educate and nurture leads via phone calls, emails, events, webinars, and various campaigns
  • Develop understanding of lead generation processes, support marketing activities, manage prospect touchpoints, and facilitate handoff to an Account Executive
  • Create email sequences and make cold calls to map and penetrate accounts effectively
  • Conduct follow-up calls and emails until meetings are successfully set

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales development or similar (hunter) outbound commercial role
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote team environment
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to learn
  • Capable of working autonomously and sourcing solutions independently
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets in a quota-carrying role
  • Experience with Salesforce and sales engagement tools is a plus
  • You are intelligent and hardworking
  • You possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong growth mindset
  • You can craft compelling email copy and sequence campaigns that convert
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment
  • An active relationship builder, capable of collaborating with internal and external teams to improve processes and communication workflows consistently
  • Experience working within the recruitment sector is preferred
  • Experience at a fast-growing startup is preferred
  • Prior successful experience in a remote and distributed team is preferred
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt and progress upwards within a fast growing organisation
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Authorization to work in country of residence / questions about visa sponsorship (app asks about work authorization)
