Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the evolution of a complex legacy codebase through controlled and incremental improvements
Ensure technical integrity, coherence and maintainability of the system
Guide design and implementation decisions across teams
Lead modernization initiatives while preserving system behavior and stability
Ensure alignment between legacy constraints and future architecture direction
Perform impact analysis and ensure backward compatibility

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on developer with deep expertise in Java
Proven experience working with large, complex legacy systems
Experience in refactoring, stabilization and gradual modernization
Strong understanding of risk-aware development and production stability
Experience coordinating technical work across distributed teams
Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
Strong communication skills across technical stakeholders
Fluent English
