About the role
- You perform regular technical system checks in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments as well as in storage, SAN and database systems and assess their condition against defined standards.
- You identify technical deviations, derive improvement measures and actively support their implementation.
- Through root-cause analyses and close collaboration with the operations teams, you contribute significantly to sustainably reducing recurring incidents.
- You develop technical specifications, policies and automated approaches to standardize our system landscapes.
- You work with various technical teams to increase the stability, efficiency and level of automation of our services.
- You monitor relevant system and quality metrics and derive improvements from them.
Requirements
- You are an experienced IT administrator with solid knowledge of common operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows), IT infrastructure and complex system environments.
- Improving technical environments and implementing administrative tasks and deployments more efficiently is your passion.
- Degree in computer science, vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a comparable qualification.
- Proven experience in the administration of UNIX, Linux and Windows systems as well as in areas such as storage & SAN, virtualization, databases, and server & infrastructure architectures.
- Experience with Dedalus products (ORBIS, DeepUnity, HYDMedia) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of IT processes such as ISO 20000 or ITIL is desirable.
- You work analytically, in a structured and solution-oriented manner and are flexible.
- Team player, committed and with a professional appearance.
- Good English skills complete your profile.
