About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct HOKA’s global physical storytelling and experience design, collaborating with regional teams (NA, EMEA, APAC)
- Provide creative leadership for retail expression and pop-up activations
- Create unique in-store experiences and campaigns that drive awareness and conversion for product launches and brand programs
- Collaborate with Brand Creative to deliver integrated campaigns
- Lead and inspire a team of in-house and freelance designers
- Partner with HOKA Marketing to connect global creative
- Drive understanding of consumer journey, visual hierarchy, and IRL activations
- Define and develop storytelling strategies for brick-and-mortar
- Concept and design immersive brand experiences
- Stay at the forefront of trends and technology
- Oversee projects throughout the production cycle
- Analyze, strategize, and translate creative briefs into actionable directives
- Lead reviews, provide constructive feedback, and present ideas clearly
- Establish creative excellence for design, storytelling, and experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bring 10+ years of design experience in an agency or in-house team
- Have at least 5 years in a senior creative leadership position, leading multidisciplinary teams
- Hold a BA in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experienced in creative design, seasonal storytelling, and activations for stores and events
- Possess an authentic connection to performance lifestyle brands and value-driven companies
- Have a diverse portfolio reflecting sophistication in architecture, interior design, graphic design, typography, layout, and in-store storytelling campaigns
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Figma), Microsoft Office, and familiar with project/asset management tools
- Strategic thinker and creative conceptualizer
- Inspirational leader, passionate about mentoring and developing creative teams
- Excellent communicator and presenter
