About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct HOKA’s global physical storytelling and experience design, collaborating with regional teams (NA, EMEA, APAC)
  • Provide creative leadership for retail expression and pop-up activations
  • Create unique in-store experiences and campaigns that drive awareness and conversion for product launches and brand programs
  • Collaborate with Brand Creative to deliver integrated campaigns
  • Lead and inspire a team of in-house and freelance designers
  • Partner with HOKA Marketing to connect global creative
  • Drive understanding of consumer journey, visual hierarchy, and IRL activations
  • Define and develop storytelling strategies for brick-and-mortar
  • Concept and design immersive brand experiences
  • Stay at the forefront of trends and technology
  • Oversee projects throughout the production cycle
  • Analyze, strategize, and translate creative briefs into actionable directives
  • Lead reviews, provide constructive feedback, and present ideas clearly
  • Establish creative excellence for design, storytelling, and experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bring 10+ years of design experience in an agency or in-house team
  • Have at least 5 years in a senior creative leadership position, leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Hold a BA in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experienced in creative design, seasonal storytelling, and activations for stores and events
  • Possess an authentic connection to performance lifestyle brands and value-driven companies
  • Have a diverse portfolio reflecting sophistication in architecture, interior design, graphic design, typography, layout, and in-store storytelling campaigns
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Figma), Microsoft Office, and familiar with project/asset management tools
  • Strategic thinker and creative conceptualizer
  • Inspirational leader, passionate about mentoring and developing creative teams
  • Excellent communicator and presenter
