About the role

  • The Merchandise Financial Planning Manager will lead Merchandise Financial Planners to define and lead multi-season Merchandise Financial Plans for the UGG NA marketplace. You will set long range financial plans based on consumer demand and brand commercial strategies as well as reconcile assortment plans with merchandise financial plans to align to consumer architecture. Your top-down financial targets will inform franchise/style plans, financial forecasts and end-to-end inventory forecasts, including liquidation plans both within and across channels. You’ll work across channels with Merch Planning and Sales Planning to reconcile top down and bottom-up forecasts “middle out” and communicate results & impacts with cross-functional and leadership teams. Responsible for the creation and pre-season planning and forecasting for future merchandise forecasts by department, class, channel and country based on historical sales and, reoccurring buys, and projected EOP inventory levels. Establishes systematic methods and tools to monitor stock-to-sale ratios and sales trend data to develop forecasts by product category, line, brand, and locations. Incorporates financial reporting and budget requirements into merchandise plans and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience in retail, planning and/or product management.
  • Strong ability to influence & work constructively with others by communicating effectively.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collate and understand relevant market data that integrates and informs the Merchandise Financial Plan; assessing risk and solving problems to deliver business results.
  • Strong command of Retail metrics including Retail Sales, ST%, WOS, Inventories (marketplace + DC), Revenue and Margin with the ability to manipulate data for efficient outcome.
