About the role

  • Provide coordination support for MC&FP strategic integrated communications activities.
  • Assist with cross-directorate collaboration by tracking messaging alignment and shared communication objectives.
  • Support execution of outreach and engagement campaigns by monitoring action items, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate meetings, forums, and working sessions, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting notes.
  • Track follow-up actions and ensure timely closure of assigned communication tasks.
  • Maintain communication artifacts, documentation repositories, trackers, and reference materials.
  • Support quarterly communications planning activities and status updates.
  • Assist with preparation and organization of communications reports, briefings, and governance materials.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy, version control, and adherence to established communication processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of communications workflows, templates, and coordination procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting communications, public affairs, outreach, or related coordination activities.
  • Experience supporting integrated communications, stakeholder coordination, or campaign execution.
  • Experience working in structured federal, DoD, or public-sector environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with collaboration platforms, document repositories, and tracking tools.
  • Understanding of basic communications workflows, planning cycles, and documentation practices.
  • Experience supporting strategic communications or outreach programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with reporting, dashboards, or campaign tracking tools preferred.
  • Exposure to Agile or iterative planning environments preferred.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail with consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for supporting cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven federal environment.
