About the role
- Maintain and update Disaster Recovery runbooks, procedures, COOP plans, and contingency documentation
- Ensure all documentation meets RMF control requirements
- Maintain version control, document history, naming standards, and archival procedures
- Ensure all materials are 508-compliant and accessible
- Assist with the creation of AARs, CAPs, DR test reports, and DR readiness documentation
- Support audit and assessment teams by preparing evidence and documentation packages
- Coordinate with continuity, engineering, cybersecurity, and database teams
- Maintain content in shared repositories and documentation portals
- Track changes and update documentation accordingly
- Develop templates, style guides, and document standards
Requirements
- Must hold an active Top Secret clearance with Tier 5 background investigation
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Assurance, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing, DR documentation, compliance documentation, or IT governance
- Experience writing or maintaining COOP, DR, or RMF-related documentation
- Experience preparing control evidence, audit materials, or RMF artifacts
- Experience collaborating with engineering and cybersecurity teams
- Strong understanding of DR, COOP, and contingency planning documentation requirements
- Knowledge of RMF controls, particularly the CP family
- Familiarity with accessibility requirements and 508-compliant formatting
- Experience with ITIL v4 documentation and process alignment
- Required: ITIL v4 Foundation
- Preferred: CompTIA Security+ Certified Technical Writer or similar credential
