About the role
- Support Finance/Tax department with a variety of tax accounting responsibilities
- Support in the preparation and analysis of income taxes, sales/use taxes, property taxes
- Collects and analyzes tax information
- Research/Resolve transaction issues for assigned accounts
- Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
- Assist with audit requests
- Manage small scale ad hoc deadline-based projects, while maintaining day-to-day routines
- Provide project support to the Department staff on an as needed basis, and in conjunction with other priorities
- Actively manage own time to accomplish the above within time frames established and agreed upon between Intern and Department
- Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
- Accounting/finance major, preferably entering junior or senior year in 2024
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Well organized, initiative-taker who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunity
- Proven ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and maturity
- Proficient at entry level in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
