About the role
- Analyze sales trends, market trends and reports to assess the growth potential of prospective clients.
- Identify new client brands (D2C) and sales opportunities in the digital economy and research key decision-makers.
- Build relationships, schedule discovery meetings and identify pain points to present suitable growth opportunities with data-driven strategies.
- Attend trade shows, networking events and travel to prospective clients to present our products and services.
- Document all sales activities weekly and monthly in our CRM system and maintain a transparent pipeline overview with KPIs.
- Optimize lead generation together with the sales team through creative outreach methods based on seasonality, trends and client needs.
- Advise prospective clients on scaling opportunities with strategic marketing campaigns in Germany and internationally.
- Take ownership of parts of the sales process — from first contact to contract closing — with support from our expert team.
- Share learnings, provide feedback and contribute to coaching sessions to continuously improve team performance.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key contacts and stakeholders and communicate our vision convincingly.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in account management, sales or growth marketing, ideally in a dynamic startup or agency environment.
- A solid network within the startup scene and knowledge of relevant industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English are required.
- Be a strong listener who clarifies and resolves issues and builds relationships.
- Know marketing campaigns for D2C companies and have hands-on experience with channels such as Google, Facebook or media buying.
- Understand sales research and how data becomes actionable insights that drive outreach strategies and goals.
- Act patiently and tactfully in negotiations for mid-sized deals.
- A strong track record of meeting sales targets.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility are essential.
- Have a sales aptitude, independently identify opportunities and work in a results-oriented way.
