About the role

  • The Senior Account Manager leads high-value and/or geographically diverse client accounts and is responsible for driving the strategic direction of client campaigns.
  • This role involves managing complex projects and ensuring that client strategies are executed effectively to achieve business objectives.
  • The Senior Account Manager also plays a key role in identifying opportunities for account growth and contributing to business development.
  • Serve as the key point of client contact, collaborating closely with internal and external teams to meet client objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' business objectives and develop strategic marketing plans that meet their needs.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and manage strategic interactions across key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in their marketing efforts.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Oversee the quality assurance process across all client deliverables.
  • Lead compliance initiatives to meet both client and industry standards.
  • Champion innovative approaches to client challenges.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization, with subject matter expert support.
  • Develop and present comprehensive proposals and presentations to clients.
  • Create and execute account growth strategies for existing clients.
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of clients within the agency, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and changes in order to deliver additional value and strategic advice to clients.
  • Manage complex budgets across multiple client accounts, ensuring profitability and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Manage the financial health of jobs, including performing regular budget checks and providing timely updates to the finance team where changes occur.
  • Support the finance team by proactively managing billing plans, POs and invoicing in our project management system, Kantata.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely, high quality project deliverables.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and upselling of additional services.
  • Ensure Fifth Ring processes and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Be a robust defender of the agency’s values, people and commercial interests.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with colleagues to ensure alignment and support.
  • Produce thorough and effective briefs to ensure colleagues are aligned on project outputs and outcomes.
  • Support the business development team in developing new opportunities.
  • Provide proactive support and updates to colleagues where necessary to ensure the smooth running of client projects and efficient and coherent service for clients.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members.
  • Work effectively with the Traffic Manager and delivery team members to ensure client requirements are being met and timelines and schedules are aligned.
  • Support colleagues in all Fifth Ring locations through proactive consultation, creativity and visibility.
  • Other duties will be assigned as required and as appropriate

Requirements

  • A degree in in marketing, communications, business or similar.
  • Sufficient of experience in account management within a marketing or advertising agency.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile client accounts and delivering exceptional results.
  • Significant project management experience and strong client relationship management skills.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing, and advertising strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion and ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Ability to direct resources efficiently with strong commercial and financial skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
