About the role
- Take full ownership of the growth pipeline across the Americas, from prospecting and outreach to qualification, proposal and close
- Lead networking and outbound efforts; convert marketing-qualified leads into high-value opportunities
- Collaborate with Group BD Director, Marketing Manager, Client Services and Delivery teams to win work from target clients
- Identify and direct new business opportunities aligned to Fifth Ring’s offer and target industries
- Embody consultative selling and achieve Trusted Advisor status with contacts
- Be highly visible online and in person in Houston to position Fifth Ring as marketing communications consultants of choice
- Immerse in and speak knowledgably about target industries to understand trends, threats and opportunities
- Lead exploratory calls with marketing qualified leads to establish core challenges and propose Fifth Ring solutions
- Work with subject matter experts to deliver effective briefs and construct compelling proposals demonstrating impact
- Respond to appropriate tenders and attend local and regional networking sessions and events
- Keep abreast of latest news and trends in the marketing and communications space
- Act as an ambassador for the agency’s values, people and commercial interests
- Work with the Traffic Manager to ensure client requirements are being met

Requirements
- Deep understanding of the role marketing and communications play in driving B2B business
- Track record of success in consultative selling processes
- Highly networked and experienced engaging with C‑Suite and closing significant-scale deals
- Ability to earn trusted advisor status with business and marketing leaders
- Strong commercial acumen to uncover business challenges and prescribe marketing communications solutions
- B2B marketing knowledge or experience is a must
- Knowledge of client industries is desirable
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to build compelling proposals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Confident, pro-active with a positive attitude
- Good networking skills and ability to establish positive first impressions
- Time management and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Accuracy and diligence; attention to detail and ability to ensure work is signed off prior to external distribution
- Experience creating and executing compelling communication in different forms and telling a compelling story
- Experience delivering communications in the modern omni-channel world
- Knowledge and experience in international communication is advantageous
