About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and participate in systems analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of Dayton Children’s Epic instance
  • Understand hospital workflows, processes, policies, and business operations
  • Participate in planning future workflows
  • Coordinate completion and follow-up of change and enhancement requests
  • Perform in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues related to Epic software
  • Coordinate evaluation of development efforts
  • Plan pilot and full implementations of new Epic features
  • Process user feedback and requests
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of assigned Epic areas, functions, and relationships with enterprise information systems
  • Participate in planning, providing, and coordinating Epic training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years of work experience in a healthcare-related role or in systems analysis, project management, or IT support
  • Billing experience in patient accounts, hospital financial operations, hospital billing, professional billing, or contracts certification
  • Experience training or educating staff on new systems or processes
  • Must achieve a satisfactory score on the EPIC assessment as a condition of employment
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited program preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic systems or other healthcare information systems preferred
