About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a variety of services including phlebotomy, specimen management, and EKG testing services for neonate to adult patients
- Independently perform a variety of waived laboratory tests and their associated controls
- Support all Dayton Children’s Hospital (DCH) locations, including main and south campuses, testing centers, Lab Link, Outreach, and other clinical sites
- Adhere to Dayton Children’s Hospital Values
- Perform all aspects of QA/QC for the center's lab and contents
- Ensure compliance with all standards and guidelines, including regulatory agencies
- Maintain integrity, quality, and reputation of Laboratory Services
Requirements
What you’ll need- GED/High School diploma required
- 0-2 years experience required
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred
- Capillary and venipuncture technique preferred
- Specimen processor, patient registration, scheduling experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Clinical lab experience preferred
- CPR within 30 days of hire required
- Phlebotomy Certificate (within 1yr of hire-on date) required
- Successful completion of pediatric phlebotomy patient training program required
- EKG training provided required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
