About the role

  • Provides direct mental health services to children who have been victims of abuse and trauma.
  • Consults with other health care professionals in the hospital and community regarding mental health aspects of children’s behavior.
  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provides in-service and outreach education on mental health issues/trauma related concerns.
  • Educates the patient and family/significant others to improve patient health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Masters: Counseling (Required)
  • Masters: Social Work (Required)
  • LISW - Licensed Independent Social Worker - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Required)
  • LPCC - Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Required)
  • Experience in trauma focused intervention preferred
