About the role
- Provides direct mental health services to children who have been victims of abuse and trauma.
- Consults with other health care professionals in the hospital and community regarding mental health aspects of children’s behavior.
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team.
- Provides in-service and outreach education on mental health issues/trauma related concerns.
- Educates the patient and family/significant others to improve patient health outcomes.
Requirements
- Masters: Counseling (Required)
- Masters: Social Work (Required)
- LISW - Licensed Independent Social Worker - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Required)
- LPCC - Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Required)
- Experience in trauma focused intervention preferred
