About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary legal partner for core physician and patient technologies
- Guide the business through the full lifecycle of these products
- Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks by advising on complex federal and state healthcare laws
- Provide legal support and review for a variety of IT contracts
- Assist with AI and Digital Health Capabilities including interoperability initiatives
- Cultivate trusted, proactive relationships with business clients and compliance partners
- Participate in committees and partner seamlessly across other legal lanes to champion broader Village initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctorate degree with at least one active state bar admission (ability to waive into CO, if needed)
- Minimum of 5-8+ years of corporate or law firm experience representing the healthcare industry
- Experience with health care provider operations and/or health IT, including experience handling technology transactions, highly preferred
- Substantial knowledge of Medicare/healthcare fraud and abuse laws
- Familiarity with software development, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and interoperability governance
- Transactional drafting and review skills, highly preferred
- Ability to own multiple projects, manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- High degree of maturity and professionalism with a desire to work proactively with clients to identify risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are employed.
