About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform duties for revenue operations department related to medical insurance billing, collections or patient access
Communicate with patients and insurance payers to ensure proper insurance coverage
Review and submit system setup requests for accurate billing
Respond timely and accurately to payer communications
Collaborate with revenue operations teams for seamless processes
Partner with clinics' teammates for timely insurance information
Identify process changes and opportunities for improvement
Maintain patient account information and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
ROPS revenue cycle management experience
Knowledge of revenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulations for federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states
Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement practices
Usage of DaVita billing and reimbursement systems
Basic medical reimbursement terminology
Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement accounting principles
