About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the central point of communication for litigation teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date calendar systems.
- Oversee the creation, indexing, and ongoing maintenance of complex case files.
- Proofread legal memoranda for typographical accuracy; verify citations.
- Coordinate and manage court filings, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
- Conduct advanced fact research and analysis.
- Manage specialized document collections and draft initial versions of discovery requests.
- Assist with document collection and tracking of electronically stored information.
- Conduct interviews with witnesses and custodians.
- Assist with all phases of mediation, arbitration, or trial proceedings.
- Provide on-site trial support and supervise junior paralegals during trial preparation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of paralegal experience, depending upon practice area and position available.
- Bachelor’s degree and completion of paralegal program of study preferred, or clear demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skill
- Exceptional time and task management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills at a post-college level.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proficiency in legal research and document retention databases such as Westlaw, LexisNexis.
- Proficiency in trial support software (e.g., Trial Director or OnCue).
- Proficiency in eDiscovery document review platforms, specifically Relativity.
- Availability for overtime as needed to meet deadlines and support trial schedules.
