About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Dave's portfolio of data and risk partners across fraud, identity, open banking, bank connectivity, and credit bureaus
  • Turn Dave's product, risk, and business objectives into a clear partner roadmap, sequencing renewals, evaluations, and new capabilities
  • Evaluate new partners against commercial fit, data quality, risk impact, compliance, cost, and resiliency
  • Build scorecards that hold partners accountable: service levels, cost, approval and conversion impact, fraud and risk outcomes, data reliability, and contractual obligations
  • Find openings to sharpen Dave's underwriting and fraud controls through better partner capabilities
  • Run each partnership end to end: sourcing, diligence, business case, financial modeling, negotiation, contracting, implementation, and post-launch performance
  • Lead partner governance, renewal strategy, issue escalation, and risk mitigation
  • Build relationships with senior leaders at data providers, infrastructure companies, risk platforms, and banks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in fintech partnerships or product strategy (digital banking/lending)
  • Strong product sense
  • Ability to point to partner or vendor choices that moved real product outcomes: approval rates, conversion, member experience, or roadmap speed
  • Sharp commercial and analytical instincts, with experience in business cases, financial models, and the unit economics behind a partnership
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex partner relationships from diligence through launch and into ongoing performance
  • Ability to lead across Product, Engineering, Risk, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills to engage senior stakeholders
  • Good judgment around member experience, regulatory sensitivity, and operational risk
  • Bias toward action and high ownership, capable of running several complex initiatives at once
