About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Completes daily time card
- Follows and signs work orders
- If required, completes work order changes
- Follows safety rules
- Molds parts using a compression molding press
- Cuts and weighs preforms
- Molds parts using a transfer or a compression molding press
- Bonds dual durometer parts using a compression molding press
- Molds preforms in a compression molding press
- Molds parts with inserts using a transfer mold and a compression molding press
- Verifies mold temperature with pyrometer
- Returns unused compounded material to mixing department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum experience: six months of previous factory experience working with machinery
- Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent
- Stands on concrete floor up to 10 hours.
- Repetitive motion loading preforms into a mold weighing up to 50 pounds.
