About the role
- Lead the European team within the Global Concept & Costing organization
- Define manufacturing concepts and feasibility analyses from quotation through production
- Translate customer requirements into efficient, cost-effective elastomer manufacturing solutions
- Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Design/Simulation, Costing, and Commercial teams
- Ensure cost efficiency of vulcanization and upstream/downstream processes
- Update and manage costing based on evolving specifications and requirements
- Participate in key product development milestones (kick-off, design reviews, validation, etc.)
- Collaborate with external suppliers to define production equipment and process specifications
- Work closely with prototyping, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials) or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in technical manufacturing roles, preferably in elastomer or plastics environments
- Strong knowledge of elastomer materials and manufacturing processes (compounding, compression/injection molding, post-curing, finishing)
- Solid understanding of tooling, processing, and manufacturing cost drivers
- Ability to read technical drawings; CAD/CAM experience is a plus
- Proven technical leadership and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in technical English (written and spoken).
