About the role

  • Lead innovation projects for rubber formulations and raw materials, ensuring alignment with company and customer requirements.
  • Develop project proposals, define goals, milestones, and cost estimates, and manage progress through to completion.
  • Evaluate scientific and technical options to improve product performance and process efficiency.
  • Coordinate with R&D, Production, Process Engineers and Quality teams during sampling, trials, and evaluations.
  • Support to maintain and manage the Raw Material and Rubber Formulation Database to ensure accurate and accessible information.
  • Define testing programs and specifications for new raw materials and align with QC and QA.
  • Staying up to date on material compliance, REACH legislation, and pharmaceutical standards.
  • Support investigations, optimize production parameters, and contribute to customer complaint resolution.

Requirements

  • PhD level of working and thinking with a chemical background.
  • Preferably you have experience in materials science and we welcome candidates with a background in rubber formulations or related disciplines.
  • Experience in rubber compounds, formulations, and production processes is a plus, but not a must.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, analytical methods, and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with customer requirements, pharmacopeia, and applicable legislation (e.g. REACH).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both written and verbal.
  • Curious, collaborative, and solution-oriented teamplayer with a passion for innovation.
