About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for cabling installation and testing
- Perform site surveys for new projects
- Attend Project Kick off meetings with General Contractors and Customers
- Maintain accurate inventory records for tools and parts
- Ensure work meets safety standards
- Responsible for completing assigned tasks within specified cost budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of field experience
- Ability to interpret CAD designs
- Installation and testing associated with Network cabling – Cat.3, Cat 5, Cat.5e, Cat.6, Fiber Optic, Coax, Risers and Tie Cables
- Lead cabling projects with support from other technicians and temporary labor
- Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and voice and data applications
- Solid experience in pre-cabling preparation and installation of patch panels
- System/component level troubleshooting and working knowledge of electronics
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Clean driving record required
- Must have their own tools within 60 days of employment.
