About the role
- Oversee the entire accounting cycle and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, NCECF (ASPE) or others)
- Prepare, review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and period-end analyses
- Prepare and produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Analyze variances against budgets and provide value‑added recommendations
- Play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, with strong interaction with management
- Implement, maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies
- Identify financial risks and propose corrective measures
- Monitor cash flows, prepare cash forecasts and contribute to liquidity optimization
- Manage banking relationships and credit facilities
- Plan and coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closes, adhering to tight deadlines
- Prepare audit working papers, collaborate with internal and external auditors and follow up on recommendations
- Actively participate in optimizing financial processes and in the deployment or enhancement of financial systems and ERPs
- Produce advanced financial analyses to support decision‑making and business initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- CPA designation required
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in financial accounting
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, NCECF/ASPE)
- Strong skills in financial analysis, internal controls and business acumen
- Experience with ERP systems and a strong interest in automation and new technologies
- Advanced Excel proficiency; interest in analytical tools and AI
- Rigour, autonomy, analytical mindset and ability to operate in a constantly changing environment
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
