About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administration, configuration, and operation of NetApp storage systems
- Ensuring the availability and performance of storage operations
- Performing firmware and software updates
- Capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization
- Managing Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs)
- Administration of NAS and SAN environments
- Managing Snapshots, SnapMirror, and SnapVault
- Analyzing and resolving incidents in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Supporting IT projects and storage migrations
- Close collaboration with the virtualization, network, backup, and server teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or comparable training in computer science
- Several years of professional experience in the storage environment
- In-depth knowledge of NetApp ONTAP
- Experience administering AFF, FAS, and ASA systems
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies: VMware vSphere, VMware ESXi, and Nutanix AHV
- Knowledge of data protection: Snapshots, SnapMirror, SnapVault, and backup integration
- Knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Ethernet
- Experience with monitoring using PRTG
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, or Python
- Certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) and VMware VCP are advantageous
- Structured, independent, and analytical approach to work
- Strong service orientation
- Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Very good command of German and good written and spoken English
