About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the operation and configuration of LAN and WLAN environments
- Work independently on customer projects in the area of LAN/WLAN
- Ensure continuous and highly available operation
- Troubleshoot and eliminate faults in network environments
- Carry out error analysis and root cause analysis
- Act as 2nd level support for questions in the network area
- Create reports and documentation of network environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed an apprenticeship (IT specialist) or a bachelor's degree in computer science
- Several years of professional experience in the professional support of networks
- Experience in the areas of TCP/IP, OSI Layer 1-7
- Good knowledge about Cisco Catalyst Series (9000er Switch Series and Catalyst WLAN Controller)
- Desirable experience in measuring and simulating WLAN infrastructures
- Additional knowledge about Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center and Ruckus LAN/WLAN components
- Knowledge of Ansible, Python and the use of APIs on network components
- Basic knowledge of network management tools (e.g. Zabbix, Netbox, openNMS)
- Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) desirable
- Business fluent in English - both written and spoken (German language skills are desirable)
