About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and implement modern network technologies
- Provide professional support for IT networks with a focus on firewalls
- Serve as the point of contact for 2nd and 3rd level support for network-related inquiries
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults in the network environment
- Perform error analysis, root cause analysis, and develop service improvement strategies
- Document the service architecture of various network environments
- Create and maintain customer-specific service and operational documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience supporting IT networks
- Strong knowledge of firewalls with relevant certification (Fortinet FCP or FCSS)
- Basic knowledge of Meraki and HPE network products (desirable)
- Good understanding of proxies, web application firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and firewall log analyzers
- Experience with Ansible, Python, and using APIs on network components for automation
- Experience with network management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, HP IMC, and Network Node Manager
- Familiarity with ITIL and ISO 20000
- Business fluent in English (written and spoken)
- German language skills are desirable
