About the role

  • You design, create, and maintain automated tests and test scenarios for the web frontend and APIs from our Mainz office as well as while working remotely
  • You execute automated tests, identify defects, and communicate findings to the development team
  • You expand our test suites for regression and smoke testing
  • Working with Jira, Xray, and Katalon is part of your daily routine
  • You integrate automated tests into build and deployment pipelines in GitLab
  • You analyze specifications and align automation requirements with our subject-matter consultants and test management
  • You round off your day by closely collaborating with developers, testers, and project managers (all genders)

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in test automation for web applications and APIs (SOAP and REST)
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Groovy
  • Familiar with continuous integration and integrating tests into GitLab pipelines and Docker
  • Experience with test tools such as Xray, Katalon, and Gatling
  • ISTQB Certified Tester — Foundation Level
  • Team player with strong communication skills, analytical thinking, a structured way of working, and initiative
  • Excellent written and spoken German (minimum C2)
  • Experience with BDD using Cucumber and Gherkin is a plus
