About the role
- Design and support of systems within data centers and in cloud environments for clients
- Planning, development, and implementation of new IT solutions and IT environments
- Ensuring IT operations of data centers and services through monitoring, patching, vulnerability and lifecycle management, and continuous optimization
- Identifying improvement opportunities in IT processes and systems
- Technical support, further development, and operation of IT environments, both on-premises and in the cloud
- Administration of virtual server landscapes and operation of infrastructure, storage, and backup environments
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and firewall management, ideally within an IT services environment
- Strong knowledge of virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Strong knowledge of storage solutions (Dell, HPE, Pure Storage, NetApp)
- Strong knowledge of backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam)
- Good knowledge of IT operations, IT infrastructure solutions, and security architectures
- Familiarity with security standards (ISO 2700x, IT-Grundschutz / IT baseline protection)
