About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate and configure LAN and WLAN environments at customer locations
Work independently on customer projects in LAN/WLAN
Ensure continuous and highly available network operation
Troubleshoot and eliminate faults in network environments
Perform error analysis and root cause analysis in the network context
Act as a 2nd level support contact for network-related questions
Create reports and document network environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed an apprenticeship (IT specialist) or a bachelor's degree in computer science
Several years of professional experience in the professional support of networks
Experience with TCP/IP and OSI Layer 1-7
Good knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Series (9000er Switch Series and Catalyst WLAN Controller)
Experience in measuring and simulating WLAN infrastructures is desirable
Additional knowledge of Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center and Ruckus LAN/WLAN components would be beneficial
Knowledge of Ansible, Python and APIs on network components
Basic knowledge of network management tools such as Zabbix, Netbox and openNMS
Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) would be desirable
Business fluent English, written and spoken
German language skills are desirable
