About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and configure LAN and WLAN environments at customer locations
- Work independently on customer projects in LAN/WLAN
- Ensure continuous and highly available network operation
- Troubleshoot and eliminate faults in network environments
- Perform error analysis and root cause analysis in the network context
- Act as a 2nd level support contact for network-related questions
- Create reports and document network environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed an apprenticeship (IT specialist) or a bachelor's degree in computer science
- Several years of professional experience in the professional support of networks
- Experience with TCP/IP and OSI Layer 1-7
- Good knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Series (9000er Switch Series and Catalyst WLAN Controller)
- Experience in measuring and simulating WLAN infrastructures is desirable
- Additional knowledge of Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center and Ruckus LAN/WLAN components would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Ansible, Python and APIs on network components
- Basic knowledge of network management tools such as Zabbix, Netbox and openNMS
- Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) would be desirable
- Business fluent English, written and spoken
- German language skills are desirable
