About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Continuously maintain and develop customers’ server infrastructures
Ensure stable IT operations and high system availability
Install, configure, and administer server environments in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
Administer Microsoft Active Directory and AD-based services such as DNS and DHCP
Plan, coordinate, and monitor backup, restore, and recovery processes
Troubleshoot and resolve IT operational issues
Create and maintain technical documentation
Support the continuous optimization of operational processes
Plan and support migrations and release upgrades
Collaborate with specialists from adjacent departments and external service providers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration, IT systems electronics technician, or comparable training in information technology
Very good knowledge of server installation and operation
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Exchange
Knowledge of virtualization platforms
In-depth expertise in Citrix technologies such as Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Workspace, StoreFront, Director, Studio, Citrix Gateway (NetScaler), and Citrix ADC
Knowledge of Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), Profile Management, Workspace Environment Management (WEM), and Citrix Licensing
Knowledge of software packaging is desirable
Knowledge of scripting with VBScript and PowerShell is desirable
Willingness and interest in professional development through training and technologically challenging projects
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
Very good command of written and spoken German
Good command of written and spoken English
