About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue and Python.
  • Architect and implement efficient data pipeline workflows for ingesting, transforming, and loading large-scale datasets.
  • Work with PostgreSQL / Aurora databases to manage data storage, transformation, and querying.
  • Optimize ETL jobs and database queries to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and application teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline reliability and scalability.
  • Follow best practices for data governance, security, and performance in cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for ETL pipeline development.
  • Strong programming experience in Python 3.x.
  • Solid experience working with PostgreSQL and/or Amazon Aurora databases.
  • Deep understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns and pipeline architecture.
  • Experience with job performance tuning and SQL query optimization.
  • Experience using Terraform for cloud infrastructure automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
