About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent Datacom to a broad range of customers, both Government and Corporate
- Promote a range of IT service offerings and develop new business opportunities
- Ensure targets are met or exceeded by selling Datacom service offerings across managed services, cybersecurity, cloud and digital platforms and applications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and vendors
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 8+ years’ sales experience working within the Perth market
- Solid understanding of the Perth IT market with a substantial network at the C-level within government and corporate customers
- Understanding of the managed services, cybersecurity, cloud and digital platforms and applications market with the technical nous to pick up new offerings and services
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles including RFP responses, working with Datacom’s pre-sales team, line-of-business owners and solution architects
- Proven ability to qualify opportunities quickly
- Maintaining currency of knowledge, training and engagement with relevant vendors
- Ability to absorb, apply and communicate technical information to a diverse audience
- Excellent customer and vendor relationship building and management skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Experience in using Salesforce as the sales CRM for tracking opportunity progression through the sales cycle.
