About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle impactful customer technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures, creating how-to guides, and productionalizing customer use cases
  • Work with engagement managers to scope professional services work with customer input
  • Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications
  • Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects to support understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues
  • Collaborate with Databricks Technical, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer teams to deliver technical engagement components
  • Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and rapidly resolve engagement-specific issues
  • Report to the regional Manager/Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. Secret clearance or above required
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics
  • Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala
  • Working knowledge of at least two common cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with expertise in at least one
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
  • Working knowledge of MLOps
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures
  • Experience with technical project delivery, including managing scope and timelines
  • Documentation and whiteboarding skills
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts
  • Technical skills supporting deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30% when needed
