About the role

  • Implement, monitor, and improve the Quality Management System across the Diagnostic Operation, ensuring compliance with certification standards, current legislation, and corporate strategies, while promoting best practices and Patient Safety.
  • Document Management: manage the document lifecycle in SQDasa (creation, review, cancellation, and copy control), ensuring process standardization and monitoring deadlines and indicators.
  • Management of Complaints and Continuous Improvement: record, analyze, and follow up on feedback from clients, patients, and physicians, adverse events, and report corrections, conducting root cause investigations, action plans, and management review meetings.
  • Continuing Education: deliver and document technical and operational training, train teams on analytical methodologies, quality tools, and accreditation requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Method Validation and Verification: support and conduct validation and verification studies of analytical systems in partnership with the medical area, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and result safety.
  • Quality Assurance: monitor and analyze internal and external control indicators, evaluate deviations, coefficients of variation (CVs), and propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Audits and Certifications: plan and oversee internal and external audits, address audit findings, and support the maintenance of the Diagnostic Operation’s certifications and accreditations.
  • Risk Management: monitor operational risks using the FMEA tool, analyze events and near misses, and present data and mitigation plans to the Patient Safety Core.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or related fields.
  • Postgraduate degree in Quality Management, Patient Safety, or related areas is desirable.
  • **Technical Requirements**
  • Knowledge of laboratory analytical processes (internal and external quality control, control charts, critical analyses, and handling of non-conformities).
  • Proficiency with quality tools: 5 Whys, 5W2H, FMEA.
  • Experience with internal and external audits, and method validation and verification.
  • Familiarity with PALC, RDC 978, and Patient Safety and Patient-Centered Care processes.
