About the role
- Support clients with safety-critical projects and find appropriate safety engineering solutions
- Hands-on project work such as Safety Case Management and Safety Case report writing
- Support clients with adoption and embedding of safety practices
- Scope projects and design and deliver appropriate technical and consultancy solutions
- Position yourself as subject matter expert advising and guiding clients
- Key account management in the nuclear sector and account growth activities
- Travel to client sites and work from Bristol office
Requirements
- Established Safety Engineer with nuclear sector experience
- Most likely 10+ years' experience
- Chartered Engineer, specifically experienced in the nuclear safety domain
- IEC61508 or IEC61513 Functional Safety certified
- Demonstrable experience in Safety Case Management, Safety Case Report writing and ALARP justification
- Nuclear sector experience and understanding of market opportunities and challenges
- Awareness of ONR Safety Assessment Principles, Technical Assessment Guides and Site Licence Conditions
- Consultancy mindset, preferably with consultancy experience
- Demonstrable stakeholder engagement skills and enthusiasm to build relationships, network and secure work
- UK Security Clearance check required; ordinarily need at least 6 years' UK residency
