About the role
- Work collaboratively with hiring managers to gain an in-depth understanding of their recruitment requirements
- Write and post creative job adverts that attract the highest calibre talent
- Source candidates through various channels, with a strong focus on proactively approaching and engaging with passive candidates (headhunting)
- Conduct in-depth telephone interviews with candidates to assess their suitability for a role
- Ensure a best-in-class experience for all candidates who engage with DAS Ltd, including ensuring they receive prompt application and interview feedback
- Keep on top of industry-specific recruitment trends and identify effective and up to date methods to attract talent
- Supporting ongoing project activity, and the delivery of recruitment administration tasks
Requirements
- The successful Talent Acquisition Specialist must have extensive experience of talent acquisition for specialist, hard-to-fill, or niche positions. You must also have a strong background working in an in-house recruitment role or externally within the defence sector.
- A thorough understanding of full-cycle recruitment
- Experience recruiting in some of our core capability areas, e.g. Project Management, Project Controls, Systems Thinking, OR, Data Science, Business Change.
- Experience in recruiting within critical infrastructure domains: defence, energy/nuclear, water utilities, transport, central government etc.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A personable and approachable demeanour
- Experience developing Boolean and keyword searches
- A self-motivated approach to work
- Effective time management skills and the ability to adapt to when priorities change
- The ability to build strong working relationships with the business and with candidates

- £38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
- This role is a hybrid working position. Successful candidates must be able to travel to our offices in Basingstoke or Bristol on a regular basis. Travel to other offices may also be required.
